Turntide Islands lives on Discord as a small archipelago. Every channel is a place, and each place has its own weather. This chart shows where things are so you can find your way around before you come ashore.
The Harbor
Everyone lands at #dock. Discord's onboarding runs there: it asks a few questions about what brought you and which islands you want to visit, and a person from the community welcomes you in. Afterwards, #channel-visas is where you change which islands you visit.
The Mainland
The common ground. #announcements carries news from the stewards and #bulletin-boardwalk carries everyone else's. #mainland is for introductions and for proposing gatherings. Bring practical and research questions to #question-quarry, mutual aid to #solidarity-shoals, and music to #soundwaves. #workshop is the voice channel, for when typing is too slow.
The Chatter Isles
A scatter of small islands, one per interest. Visit any you like and ignore the rest:

#receipts keeps the source trails: links, citations, and evidence. What the Vault keeps is the raw material for this site's public record.
Governance Rock
The community governs itself in the open. Ideas start in #governance-questions and #governance-discussion, become motions in #governance-proposals, and are carried out in #governance-action. #modlog keeps moderation accountable. The governance record explains which commitments already stand and which are still directions.
The School
A seasonal isle for shared practice, such as the write-for-a-month forum. Each season leaves its threads behind for whoever comes next.
