Turntide Islands opened a four-week community-programming intake for September 2026. That intake period ended on September 30, 2026. No successor cycle is asserted here without a new decision from local community authority.
This page keeps the September cycle as a public record. It does not silently roll that invitation forward into October.
September intake cycle
Week 1 — Open Harbor
In #mainland, propose an orientation or community gathering, two availability windows with timezone, and access needs.
Week 2 — Question Quarry
In #question-quarry, offer one practical or research question for a sourced response or facilitated session.
Week 3 — Project Dock
After completing the arrival journey, share a project, concrete ask, or bounded offer in the relevant existing topical community. #dock remains reserved for new arrivals and its established welcome flow.
Week 4 — Field Notes
In #location, share a place-based observation, practice, or source-linked note, distinguishing observation from inference.
Join the Discord to participate in the community and discuss future programming. A proposal can be asynchronous; nobody has to volunteer as a live host to contribute a question, project, or field note.
Propose a gathering
For a synchronous event, post in #mainland with:
- the purpose and desired outcome;
- two possible start windows and your timezone;
- expected length and participation format;
- accessibility needs or accommodations;
- whether you are willing to host, co-host, or are requesting a host.
A human must accept responsibility before a meeting is scheduled. Discord's Events list is authoritative for confirmed date, time, voice channel, and RSVP state. Zelo may explain this process and route proposals, but does not volunteer, host, moderate, or send automatic reminders on a person's behalf.
What happens after
Confirmed gatherings receive a named human organizer, reviewed reminder plan, and closeout. A closeout can record what happened, unanswered questions, useful links, and whether anything should be rescued into the public knowledge record. Ordinary conversation is not automatically copied into an archive or analytics cohort.
